Winnemac Park Advisory Council: Voting for Board Members

Monday, June 4th 7:30PM
(Held at Amundsen High School, enter south door on North Damen Avenue)
Neighbors will be voting in nominees for the Winnemac Park Advisory Council Board. WPAC is a non profit organization working with the Park District, local schools and neighbors to keep Winnemac Park great and moving forward.
The Winnemac Park Advisory Council held a short meeting on Monday, April 30th to solicit nominations for people interested in serving on the Council Board. The nominees are Karen Kolb, Brendan O'Connor, Scott Bloom and Stephen Reynolds. Each nominee will be allowed a 2 minute speech before a vote is taken. Attendance at the next meeting is required in order to vote in the election.

Please attend the meeting or email us at info@winnemac.org to get involved with the Winnemac Park Advisory Council. Agenda items, goals and plans are forming. Neighbors committed to improving park amenities and programs are welcome. One future goal may be to enhance a larger Board of Directors in addition to Board Officers. Other items discussed are developing youth sports leagues specifically at Winnemac Park (i.e. Welles Park and Warner Park baseball) in sports where there is great local demand and a regular corps of gardeners to help with the prairies and community gardens.
